Market trending up

  • Comment
There was a small miscellaneous selection of merino wools and finer halfbreds on offer at today’s sale held in Christchurch.  The market continues to ebb and flow in line with the Australian indicators.  Merino wools showed an increase over the last New Zealand sale while Halfbreds also showed significant gains in particular 24.0 to 26.0 micron.  There was keen competition across the bench for the wools available.
  • Fleece wools
    15.5 to 17.0 micron 3 to 6% dearer.

    17.5 to 19.5 micron 1 to 3% dearer.

22.0 to 23.5 micron up to 3% dearer.
