Market tending dearer.

  • Comment
    South Island only selling today offering 7,300 bales.  The selection consisted of mainly crossbred fleece and shears 36.0 to 38.0 micron, good and good/average colour.  Also available were good colour crossbred hoggets 31.5 to 35.0 micron.  There was a very limited selection of 28.0 micron and finer fleece wool along with associated oddments mostly carding length, average colour.  China and Europe main competition with support from Australasian carpet mills.

    Good white fleece 1% dearer.

    Good/average colour fleece very firm.

  • Second Shears
    Good white shears 1% dearer.

    Good/average colour very firm.

  • Oddments
    Carding oddments up to 3% dearer.

    13% Passed In.

    North Island only selling 6th December with 7,800 bales on offer.
