Vicuna

Vicuna fibre is manually harvested from wild vicunas in our “estancia” located at 4,000 metres above sea level in the Argentinian Andes: 100,000 hectares of land inside a 650,000 hectare natural reserve, the Reserva de la Biosfera de Laguna Grande, with the only government concession in Argentina to harvest this precious fibre. The fibre is then transported to Trelew, Patagonia for sorting and subsequently dehaired in Italy. Very fine, long and available both in white and beige, unlike elsewhere in South America, Argentinian vicuna is especially precious, also because available in limited quantities.

In addition, vicuna is also bought directly from Peru and processed in Italy in Pettinatura di Verrone, uniquely specialised in this very fine raw material.
