COMMENT. Market firm. FLEECE All fleece generally firm. SKIRTINGS Unchanged OPEN TOP Fully firm.
Comment The market opened strongly on the back of favorable currency exchange rates and continue on from there. The limited supply in terms of quality and quantity is keeping buyers and traders on edge. Chinese topmakers, through their agents in Australia, continue to dominate the market. RWS premiums continue to grow with the Chinese sector […]
COMMENT. Market 1% dearer. FLEECE With the exception of 17.5 micron, which were 2% dearer, all other types and descriptions were 1% dearer. SKIRTINGS Better skirtings 1% dearer. OPEN TOP Fully firm but in a small and varied selection.
Comment The market opened strongly on the back of a weaker AUD with the higher AUD price levels remaining generally flat in USD terms on the first day of this week’s sale. It shifted into positive territory on Wednesday as the limited supply was keenly sought after. It’s difficult to find suitable quantity of any […]
COMMENT. Market generally another 1% dearer. FLEECE The best wool appears to be best value with Chinese interests dominating, and Europe quiet. All descriptions 1% dearer SKIRTINGS Better skirtings 1% dearer. OPEN TOP 1% dearer in a small offering.
COMMENT. Market dearer, driven initially by a weaker AUD on the exchange rate with the USD. FLEECE Very nominal offering of good European types at this time of the year, and considering the poor seasonal conditions in South Eastern Australia. 16.5 / 19.0 micron 1.5% dearer 19.5/21.0 1% dearer SKIRTINGS All good skirtings finished 1% […]

This optimism flowed onto Wednesday’s auction. The smaller offering of European specification lines was not as affected. With only limited availability at this time of the […]
Comment We had a large superfine offering from New Zealand on sale in Melbourne this week. Initially, this might have influenced the easing in prices on 16.5 to 17.5 micron for similar Australian origin wool. However, the majority of the New Zealand offering was RWS certified and to a lesser extent, Authentico certified. However, these […]
COMMENT. Market a little better, all descriptions tending upwards. FLEECE 18.5 to 19.5 micron par to 1% dearer. All other microns very firm to seller’s favour. SKIRTINGS 1% dearer. OPEN TOP Unchanged.
COMMENT. Market dearer. All descriptions a good 1% dearer in a larger and quite stylish offering. FLEECE A better offering when compared to last week. All descriptions 1% dearer, with 19.5 micron most affected. SKIRTINGS 15.5 micron keenly sought after, 2% dearer All other descriptions 1% dearer OPEN TOP 1% dearer.
