The selection of 16.0 to 18.5 micron continues to attract the most interest from buyers. In particular, the small offering of better style and specification clips that are being keenly sought after by Italian interests who might well be concerned about the reduced supply of quality fine wool. The attention of the Chinese topmakers was also focused primarily on 16.5 to 18.5 micron. In the end, the Authentico Indicator was unchanged at 2905. The Authentico indicator is reflecting the market for best fleece types, certified with the Authentico Quality Assurance program.

Forecast
30,000 bales will be offered to the trade next week. While the auction will be held Tuesday and Wednesday as usual, attention will be focused on the mood at the annual Nanjing wool conference.
