AUSTRALIAN WEEKLY MARKET REPORT

Comment

Slow demand and over supply of inconsistent types to the market is the common theme again this week, as the market struggled to find its composure. Slow and steady demand out of Europe continues to see good support from two of the larger fabric producers for high quality fine wool. China is slow but steady with local processors still very pessimistic. India is active all be it at low pricing levels. Japan subdued for the time being. An emphasis on quality and well prepared wool clips are dominating the landscape as we have seen some very poorly prepared wool arriving in store and presented for sale so far this season. Certified wool still attracting healthy incentives, in particular high quality well prepared wool.
