AUSTRALIAN WEEKLY MARKET REPORT
Comment
AWEX report that this was the smallest national offering since September 2020. The market showed little change overall but the best fine and superfine types, suitable for the Italian market, were in keen demand. This was most evident for the few more stylish clips around 17.0 micron with good specification. Generally speaking, the market was a little softer with little clear direction from China on the merino fleece types. The better skirtings and crossbreds however, sold to higher levels over the week. It is often the cheaper types that are the first to move. The large Chinese topmakers continue to dominate the market, buying directly through their local agents.
