Tod’s Training by Woolmark at Pettinatura di Verrone
April 1, 2025 marked another inspiring step in our journey to promote transparency, knowledge and responsibility across the wool supply chain.
As part of a broader educational programme by Woolmark (@thewoolmarkcompany) and Tod’s (@tods), a delegation of international retail trainers and sustainability managers visited Pettinatura di Verrone, the Italian combing mill of the Schneider Group, to deepen their understanding of fine wool and its transformation process.
With Tod’s expanding its ready-to-wear line and focusing on high-quality fine wools, the visit was an opportunity to explore one of the most essential stages in wool processing: combing, a key moment for quality, traceability and fibre performance.
The Schneider Group team had the chance to share insights with a large group of participants: Birgit Gahlen from Woolmark, Jose Vasquez, Jianjian Xue, Masami Boyd, Soy Pak, Cristian Francioli, Eduardo Bisconti, Rosa Bugari, Melissa Chareyron, Michela Gioacchini – Head of Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility, Valentina Dellupi – Global Retail Training Manager and Kuniko Shirane – Training Programmes Coordinator.
We also had the opportunity to share the importance of transparency and traceability by talking about Authentico®, the brand that stands for a complete, transparent, verified, traceable, ethical and high-quality wool supply chain – from farm to garment. It is based on the Schneider Group global certified network.
At the Schneider Group, we believe that sharing knowledge is one of the most powerful tools to build a more transparent, responsible and resilient industry. Experiences like this reinforce our belief that open dialogue and mutual learning are the foundation for a better future.
Thanks to Tod’s, Woolmark and all the participants from around the world for joining us and bringing such global perspectives to the discussion.
