Comment

South Island offering 6,450 bales and North Island offering 12,650 bales this week.  The selection consisted of 25% second shear good/average style, bulk 75mm, 35% crossbred ewe fleece generally average colour bulk 75/125mm and longer, 30% lambs fleece, bulk 28.5/31.0 micron, good/average colour and 10% associated oddments.  Market softened on the average colour fleece and shears while maintaining good support on the better colour lines.  Widespread competition.  Indian sub continent and China main supported by the United Kingdom, Australasian carpet spinners and Europe.
