Comment

South Island only offering 7,500 bales.  The selection consisted of 49% crossbred fleece mainly good colour, 21% crossbred second shear, good style bulk 75mm, 5% lambs average/good style, 12% associated oddments, 10% halfbred fleece good style 22.0-28.0 micron and 3% miscellaneous types.  Very keen widespread competition with most sectors operating.  Indian Sub Continent and United Kingdom main supported by Europe, China and Australasian carpet mills.

Crossbred fleece all styles buyers favour.

Halfbred fleece 26.5 micron and finer 10% cheaper, coarser microns fully firm.

Second Shears

All descriptions 2.5% cheaper.

Lambs

Fully firm.

Oddments

All descriptions tending sellers favour.
