NEW ZEALAND MARKET REPORT

Summary

Once again the New Zealand market fell when compared to last Christchurch sale but in line with the Australian market.

Comment

The fine wool selection selling in New Zealand today was dominated by hogget wools and while there were some well grown wools available there was also a selection of finer tender wools throughout the catalogue.  The fine wool market when compared to the last sale held in New Zealand eased by between 3 to  5% with 17 to 18 micron wools least affected once again reflecting what has been happening in Australia over the past two weeks.  There continues to be widespread competition across the board and across all catalogues with keen bidding across both microns and types.
