Combined North and South Island National Sale this week offering of 4,200 bales.
Selection consisted of 31% crossbred fleece, good to average colour, 25% crossbred second shear, mostly good colour, 5% crossbred lambs, good to average colour, 18% associated oddments, 16% halfbred fleece, 3% merino fleece good colour and 2% miscellaneous types.
On the back of last weeks increases the national auction maintained this trend on a small offering with gains generally across the board for all crossbred types. Merino and halfbred types lost ground for the start of the fine wool offerings.
Fleece
Crossbred fleece good/average colour fleece 3% dearer.
Merino & Halfbred fleece up to 6% cheaper.
Shears
Crossbred shears good/average colour up to 7% dearer.
Oddments
Clothing oddments good colour 10% dearer.
Clothing oddments average colour up to 14% dearer.
Combing oddments generally 6% dearer.
Passings
14% passed in.
