Market generally firm tending buyers favour.
Comment
North Island only selling this week with an offering of 8,600 bales.
Selection consisted of 30% crossbred fleece good to average colour, 28% crossbred second shear, mainly good colour, 25% crossbred lambs, good colour, 16% associated oddments and 1% miscellaneous types.
Most types showed a slight softening in demand with a general movement to buyers favour. Only the more favourable styles and softer microns maintained strong demand with the crossbred lambs in particular keeping prices firm from the last offering. Main buyers were China, Europe and the United Kingdom with good support from the Indian subcontinent and local Australasian mills.
