South Island only selling this week with an offering of 7,555 bales.

Selection consisted of 43% crossbred fleece good to average colour, 9% crossbred second shear, good colour, 6% crossbred hogget fleece good colour, 18% crossbred lambs, good colour, 6% merino fleece and oddments, 16% associated oddments and 2% miscellaneous types.

Prices across the board settled out over the day finishing firm with only a few average lines showing any softening.  Good colour crossbred lambs were the only notable correction on the day coming back across a wide micron range.  Main buyers were China, Europe and the United Kingdom with good support from the Indian Subcontinent and local Australasian mills.
