North Island only selling this week with an offering of 9,650 bales.
Selection consisted of 25% crossbred fleece good to average colour, 28% crossbred second shear, good colour, 4% crossbred hogget fleece good colour, 31% crossbred lambs, good colour and 12% associated oddments.
The New Zealand auction began the day with a negative correction before rallying to close out very firm. Only the better colour and style fleece and lamb lines posted slight gains. Generally good competition with most sectors operating. Main buyers were China, Europe and the United Kingdom with good support from the Subcontinent and local Australasian mills.

Average colour 1% cheaper.
Crossbred hoggets firm.
Shears
Crossbred shears good and average colour firm to buyers favour.
Lambs
Crossbred lambs good colour 1.5% dearer.
Oddments
Crossbred clothing oddments buyers favour.
Combing oddments 2% cheaper.
