South Island only selling this week with an offering of 6,860 bales.
Selection consisted of 57% crossbred fleece good to average colour, 15% crossbred second shear, good colour, 7% crossbred hogget fleece good colour, 10% early season lambs, good colour and 11% associated oddments.
Despite a strengthening of the New Zealand dollar, prices remained relatively firm in NZ cent terms with just some minor price adjustments seen on the better hogget types. With the selection being mainly fleece wool on offer, China continued to dominate across all descriptions. Main buyers were China, Europe and the United Kingdom supported by South East Asia and local Australasian mills.

Shears
Crossbred shears good and average colour very firm.
Lambs
Crossbred lambs up to 3% dearer.
Oddments
Crossbred clothing oddments up to 2% cheaper.
