South Island only offering 5,530 bales.

Selection consisted of 44% crossbred fleece mainly average/poor colour, 75/150mm, 15% crossbred second shears good/average colour, 50/100mm, 24% lambs/hogget fleece good/average/poor colour, 14% associated oddments average/poor colour and 3% miscellaneous types.

The trend continues with competition for good colour continuing to be pushed by the United Kingdom, India and Europe with China and local mills showing support on the poorer colour fleece and shears.

Average/poor colour crossbred fleece buyers favour.

Shears

Good colour crossbred shears up to 2% cheaper.

Average/poor colour crossbred shears up to 1.5% cheaper.

Lambs

Average/poor colour lambs firm.
