Comment

North Island only selling today with 6,350 bales on offer.

The selection consisted of 15% crossbred fleece mainly average/poor colour, 75/150mm, 35% crossbred second shears good/average colour, 50/100mm, 32% lambs fleece good colour, 16% associated oddments average/poor colour and 2% miscellaneous types.

Main competition for good colour wool was the United Kingdom and Europe, China and India strong competition mainly on the poorer colour fleece and shears.  Continued support from the Australasian carpet mills.

Shears

Crossbred shears 1% dearer.

Lambs

Good colour lambs firm.

Average/Poorer style buyers favour.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments 3.5% dearer.
