Market continues to get dearer.

Comment

South Island only selling today offering 7,500 bales. The selection consisted of 50% crossbred fleece generally good colour, 75-150mm, 7% halfbred fleece good colour, 25% good colour crossbred shears, 6% lambs fleece good/average colour, 11% oddments and 1% miscellaneous types. Good competition on a smaller offering with all sectors operating. Main competition Europe and India supported by the United Kingdom, local mills and China.

All descriptions crossbred fleece up to 2.5% dearer.

Halfbred fleece 2% dearer.

Shears

All descriptions very firm.

Lambs

All microns & descriptions firm.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments good/average colour 2% dearer.

Poor colour buyers favour.

Passings
