Comment

North Island only selling today with an offering of 5,670 bales.  The selection consisted of 76% crossbred shears generally good colour, 75/150mm, 4% average colour full length fleece, 8% mainly good/average colour lambs, coarser, 2-4 inch, 10% associated oddments, and 1% miscellaneous.  Competition Europe and India, supported by United Kingdom, China and local mills.

Good colour up to 1% cheaper.

Average colour firm.

Lambs

All descriptions generally firm.

Oddments

Carding oddments tending firm to buyers favour.

Passings

12% passed in.

Next Auction

No sale next week as per the roster.  Both centres selling WEDNESDAY 26th June 2024 with the North Island offering an estimated 8,350 bales and South Island offering an estimated 12,000 bales.
