Market mixed.

Comment

Both centres selling this week with North Island offering 7,215 bales and the South Island offering 8,550 bales.  North Island selection consisted of 15% average/poor colour crossbred fleece, bulk 75/150mm, 35% average/poor colour second shear bulk 75mm, 35% average colour lambs, 29 to 31 micron, 10% associated oddments and 5% miscellaneous types.  South Island selection was made up of 45% mostly average/poor colour fleece, 25% good/average shears, 20% lambs good/average colour, 8% average/poor oddments and 2% miscellaneous types.  Indian subcontinent and Europe still main supported by local carpet mills and China.

In a limited selection good colour sellers favour.

Average colour 5% dearer.

Poor colour 3% cheaper.

Second Shears

In a limited selection good colour sellers favour.

Average colour 5% dearer.

Poor colour 3% cheaper.

Lambs

Lambs fleece up to 4% cheaper.

Sellers favour.
