Market firm tending easier.

Comment

North Island only offering 5,800 bales.  The selection consisted of 30% ewe and hogget fleece, 32.0 to 38.0 micron, 45% early shorn and hogget second shear, 31.0 to 38.0 micron, 7% lambs fleece, 15% associated oddments and 3% miscellaneous types.  There was keen widespread competition with Australasian carpet mills, India sub-continent and Europe main again with limited support from China.

Crossbred ewe and hogget fleece firm.

Second Shears

75/100 mm and shorter generally buyers favour.

Lambs

Early season lambs 5% dearer.

Oddments

Combing oddments firm.

Clothing oddments buyers favour.
