Market eases.

  • Comment
    Combined North & South Island selling today with 18,100 bales on offer.  The selection consisted of 50 percent crossbred fleece and shears 35.0 to 38.0 micron, mostly poorer style/colour.  30 percent of the offering were lambs  28.0 to 31.0 micron of generally good colour.  Also available were lamb oddments good/average colour with some some poorer colour.  The balance of the offering were crossbred oddments mainly poor colour.  China and the United Kingdom main competition with support from the Sub Continent and Europe.

    In a small selection good colour/style fleeces 2% cheaper.

    Poorer style fleece up to 2.5% cheaper.

  • Second Shears
    In a small selection good colour/style shears 2% cheaper.

    Poorer style shears up to 2.5% cheaper.

  • Lambs
    Best style/colour very firm.

    Poorer styles 2.5% cheaper.

  • Oddments
    Crossbred Oddments firm.

    Lambs oddments average colour 2% cheaper.

    Lambs oddments poorer colour 1% cheaper.

  • Passings
    8% Passed In.
  • Next Auction
    North & South Island selling 14th February with approximately 13,200 bales on offer.
