Market generally dearer.

  • Comment
    North Island only selling today offering 5,400 bales.  The selection consisted of mainly crossbred fleece and shears 34.0 to 38.0 micron, generally good colour.  Also available was a small quantity of crossbred hoggets 32.0 to 34.0 micron.  There was a small offering of new seasons lambs 28.0 to 30.0 micron, good colour.  Oddments were generally average colour and carding length.  United Kingdom and Europe main competition with support from China and Australasian carpet mills.

    Average colour fleece 1.5% cheaper.
