South Island only selling today offering 8,200 bales.  The selection consisted 56% crossbred fleece 32.0 to 38.0 micron, 17% crossbred second shear, 5% mid micron fleece 23.0 to 27.0 micron and 7% merino fleece and oddments.  The balance was associated crossbred oddments.  China and Europe main competition with support from Australasian carpet mills.
