COMMENT

Fleece generally 100-130 cents dearer, skirtings 120-14 cents dearer and open tops generally 40-60 cents dearer.

FLEECE

The fleece market followed eastern states and saw prices rise 100-130 cents compared to last week. 19.0u and finer best spec fleece was the most affected. Towards the end of the sale average style 20.0u and broader fleece eased back 10 cents from highs earlier. There was good competition among the exporters today.

The passed-in rate for fleece today was 5.8%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 100-140 cents dearer.

Open tops were generally 40-60 cents dearer.

FLEECE

The fleece market followed eastern states and saw prices rise 80-100 cents compared to last week. 19.0u and finer best spec fleece was the most affected. Towards the end of the sale average style 19.5u and broader fleece eased back 10 cents from highs earlier. There was good competition among the exporters today.

The passed-in rate for fleece today was 4.3%.

FLEECE

The fleece market followed eastern states and 19.0u and finer rise 40 cents and 19.5u and broader 30 cents. There was even competition among the exporters today.

The passed-in rate for fleece today was 5.0%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 40-50 cents dearer.

Fleece generally 10-15 cents cheaper, skirtings 40-50 cents cheaper and open tops generally 25 cents cheaper.

FLEECE

The fleece market fell again today, although losses were limited to around 5-10 cents. It was the 20.0u and broader which was the most affected, falling by around 10-15 cents, while 19.5u and finer were around 5-10 cents cheaper. There was better competition among the exporters today.

Considering the falls seen this week, the overall passed-in rate for fleece today was quite good at 22.3%

Fleece generally 60-120 cents cheaper, skirtings 50 cents cheaper and open tops generally 25-40 cents cheaper.

FLEECE

The fleece market fell heavily today. 18.5u and finer were less affected with falls of around 50-60 cents, while 19.0u and broader were 100-120 cents cheaper. The broader microns continued to drift through the sale, while the finer microns held their levels to the close.

Fleece had a passed-in rate of 35.6%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 60 cents cheaper.

Open tops were generally 25-50 cents cheaper.

Fleece generally 5-10 cents dearer, skirtings 10 cents dearer and open tops generally unchanged.

FLEECE

Very similar market compared to yesterday with fleece generally 5-10 cents dearer with strong interest in high yielding wools and also 17.5u and finer. Again very good spread of buyers today.

Fleece had a passed-in rate of 4.2%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 10 cents dearer.

OPEN TOP

Finer open tops were generally unchanged, with 19.5u and broader 25 cents cheaper.

Fleece generally 10-15 cents dearer, skirtings 10-20 cents dearer and open tops 10-25 cents cheaper.

FLEECE

The fleece market rose today by around 10-15 cents. Better spec wools were the most affected with some finer lots (<18.5u) up to 30 cents dearer compared to last week. The market finished on a strong note with good competition across all buyers.

Fleece had a passed-in rate of 0.8%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 10-20 cents dearer.

Open tops were generally 10-25 cents cheaper.

Fleece generally unchanged, skirtings 20-30 cents cheaper and open tops 25 cents cheaper.

FLEECE

The fleece market was generally unchanged today. Good spec fleece again attracted good demand and finished 5-10 cents dearer. Overall the market finished on a strong note, tending dearer at the close.

Fleece had a passed-in rate of 10.9%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 20-30 cents cheaper.

Open tops were generally 25 cents cheaper.

Fleece 70-90 cents cheaper, skirtings 40-50 cents cheaper and open tops 50-70 cents cheaper.

FLEECE

The fleece market followed Melb/Sydney and opened 70-90 cents cheaper today.  High yielding fleece wools continued to attract good support and attracted premiums of 30-40 cents. The main buyers were Techwool, PJ Morris and Tianyu.

Fleece had a passed-in rate of 13.8%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 40-50 cents cheaper.

OPEN TOP

Open tops were generally 50-70 cents cheaper.

Fleece 10-15 cents dearer, skirtings 30-40 cents dearer and open tops 25 cents dearer.

FLEECE

The fleece market opened 15-20 cents dearer today with all microns and types equally affected. Towards the end of the sale it was noticeable that prices eased back, especially for 20.5u and broader which ended the day cheaper.

Fleece had a passed-in rate of 14.9%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 30-40 cents dearer with the fine end most affected.
