COMMENT

Fleece generally unchanged, skirtings 10 cents dearer and open tops 10-20 cents cheaper.

FLEECE

The fleece market was generally firm today. Low cvh and fine wools again came under increasing buying pressure and finished the day 10-15 cents dearer. 20.0u and broader and high cvh wools drifted 10 cents cheaper.

The passed-in rate for fleece was 13.6%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 10 cents dearer.

OPEN TOP

Open tops were 10-20 cents cheaper.

Fleece generally 5-15 cents cheaper, skirtings 10 cents dearer and open tops unchanged.

FLEECE

The fleece market opened firm to slightly dearer, with fine wools and low cvh fleece the most affected. As the sale progressed prices eased back and ended 5-10 cents cheaper. 17.5u and finer were the exception and finished 10-15 cents dearer.

The passed-in rate for fleece was 13.6%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 10 cents dearer.

Fleece generally 10-15 cents dearer, skirtings 30-40 cents cheaper and open tops 10-25 cents dearer.

FLEECE

The fleece market saw prices edge higher, with 19.5u and finer better spec wools the most affected finishing 10-15 cents higher.  21.0u and broader remained unchanged. Again there was a high passed-in rate which put pressure on the market.

The passed-in rate for fleece was 33.8%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 30-40 cents cheaper.

Open tops were generally 10-25 cents dearer.

Fleece generally 40 cents dearer, skirtings 20 cents dearer and open tops 25-30 cents dearer.

FLEECE

The fleece market rose strongly today with prices generally 40 cents dearer. Better tested wools with low cvh were the most affected. Prices held until the last 10 minutes before easing back slightly on a relatively large offering.

The passed-in rate for fleece was 4.9%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 20 cents dearer.

OPEN TOP

Open tops were generally 25-30 cents dearer.

FLEECE

The fleece market opened slightly cheaper compared to last week, and then prices crept upwards during the sale to close firm to slightly dearer. Low cvh wools and 18.5u and finer were the most affected with selected lots 10-15 cents dearer.

The passed-in rate for fleece was 10.5%, with around 100 fleece lots withdrawn prior to sale.

Skirtings were generally 20 cents cheaper.

Open tops were generally 40-50 cents cheaper.

Fleece 40-60 cents cheaper, skirtings 20-40 cents cheaper and open tops 20-30 cents cheaper.

FLEECE

The fleece lost some of yesterday’s gains with prices generally 40-60 cents cheaper today. Better tested wools with low cvh were less affected, and 20.5u and broader were only off 30-40 cents.

The passed-in rate for fleece was 27.3%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 20-40 cents cheaper.

Fleece generally 100-120 cents dearer, skirtings 120-140 cents dearer and open tops 30-60 cents dearer.

FLEECE

The fleece market rose strongly again today with 19.0u and finer the most affected and finished 120-125 cents dearer. Broader microns were 80-90 cents dearer. The market remained strong until the last 5 minutes when it eased back slightly.

The passed-in rate for fleece was 1.4%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 120-140 cents dearer with finer wool the most affected.

Open tops were generally 30-60 cents dearer on a limited selection.

Fleece generally 50-80 cents cheaper, skirtings 50-100 cents cheaper and open tops 30-80 cents chepaer.

FLEECE

The Fremantle market followed Melb/Syd and with prices generally 50-80 cents cheaper today. The finer end was the most affected, with good demand for the small offering of 20.5u and broader limiting falls to around 50 cents.

We still saw a passed-in rate for fleece of 27.9%, with over 10% of fleece offering withdrawn prior to sale.

SKIRTINGS

18.0u and finer skirtings were up to 100 cents cheaper, while broader microns were 50-60 cents cheaper.

FLEECE

The Fremantle market fell heavily today with prices generally 60-90 cents cheaper. 18.5u and finer were the most affected. The market seemed to find its level and held to the end of the sale without falling away further.

The passed-in rate for fleece was 32.7%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 60-70 cents cheaper.

OPEN TOP

Open tops were generally 50-75 cents cheaper on a limited selection.

Fleece generally 110-130 cents dearer, skirtings 100 cents dearer and open tops 100-150 cents dearer.

FLEECE

The Fremantle market followed Melb/Syd and saw prices generally 110-130 cents dearer today. 20.5u and broader were the most affected. The market settled half-way through the sale and perhaps some signs of easing slightly towards the end.

We still saw a passed-in rate for fleece of 1.2%.

SKIRTINGS

Skirtings were generally 100 cents dearer.

Open tops were generally 100-150 cents dearer, with 17.5u and finer the most affected.
