Comment

South Island only offering 5,800 bales.  The selection consisted of 40% crossbred fleece generally good colour, 5% early season halfbred fleece, 30% crossbred second shear, good colour, 8% lambs fleece good style and 17% associated oddments.  Keen widespread competition with Indian Sub Continent and United Kingdom main supported by Europe and Australasian carpet mills.

Crossbred average style fleece 2% cheaper.

Halfbred fleece buyers favour.

Second Shears

Good style up to 2% dearer.

Lambs

Buyers favour.
