Summary
Market mixed.
Comment
Combined North and South Island National Sale offering 7,265 bales.
Selection consisted of 34% crossbred fleece, mainly good colour, 15% crossbred hogget and second shear, good colour, 2% lambs, 13% halfbred fleece good colour, 12% merino fleece good colour, 22% associated oddments and 2% miscellaneous types.
Another full bench of buyers including good Australian support for the fine wool selection noted a keen buying sentiment for the best style merino wools. However the market finished slightly softer on the largest fine wool offering for the season. Mid-micron halfbreds closed out in the buyers favour, with crossbred fleece and shears also posting a generally negative sentiment following last weeks levels.
