Combined North and South Island sale.
North Island selection offering 7,920 bales. Selection consisted of 30% crossbred fleece mostly good colour, 13% hogget fleece and hogget second shear, good colour, 34% crossbred second shear, good colour, 8% early season crossbred lambs, 14% crossbred oddments and 1% miscellaneous types.
South Island selection offering 2,220 bales. Selection consisted of 42% crossbred fleece, mostly good colour, 15% crossbred second shear, good colour, 35% crossbred hoggets, 1% lambs good colour and 7% crossbred oddments.
A very strong market to round out the year with good demand across the board in particular the more favourable white fleece and shears type. We anticipate that this trend will continue into the early start of the New Year. Main buyers were Europe, China and the United Kingdom supported by local Australasian mills.

Crossbred fleece good colour 2% dearer.
Average colour 3% dearer.
Crossbred hoggets generally 2% dearer.
Shears
Crossbred shears all descriptions up to 3.5% dearer.
Oddments
Crossbred carding oddments good/average colour up to 3% dearer.
Combing oddments 6% dearer.
Lambs
All descriptions 2% dearer.
