Market eases.

Comment

South Island only offering 7,985 bales.

Selection consisted of 40% crossbred fleece mainly good/average colour, 17% crossbred second shears good colour, 50/100mm, 11% crossbred lambs good/average colour, 13% halfbred fleece, good colour, 17% associated oddments average/poor colour and 2% miscellaneous types.

Competition slowed today on the back of sluggish market sentiment with some premiums only on selective good white types.  India and Europe the main competition with continued support from China, United Kingdom and local Australasian mills.

Fleece

Crossbred fleece all descriptions up to 2% cheaper.

Shears

Crossbred shears all descriptions up to 2% cheaper.

Lambs

All descriptions buyers favour.

Oddments

All descriptions up to 2% cheaper.

Passings
