South Island only offering 5,365 bales.

Selection consisted of 47% crossbred fleece mainly average/poor colour, 75/150mm, 12% crossbred second shears good/average colour, 50/100mm, 24% lambs fleece good/average/poor colour, 14% associated oddments average/poor colour and 3% miscellaneous types.

Main competition for good colour is still the United Kingdom and Europe.  China supporting the poorer colour fleece and shears.

Good colour fleece firm to buyers favour.

Average/poor colour crossbred fleece up to 1% cheaper.

Shears

Good colour crossbred shears up to 2.5% cheaper.

Average/poor colour crossbred shears up to 1% cheaper.

Lambs

Good colour lambs firm.

Oddments

Associated oddments 1.5% cheaper.
