Market generally easier.

Comment

Both centres selling today with the South Island offering 15,000 bales and the North Island offering 7,000 bales.  Overall selection was made up of 30% good and average colour crossbred fleece, bulk 100/150mm, 38% good/average colour crossbred second shear bulk 75mm, 14% average/poor colour crossbred lambs 29-31 micron, 15% associated oddments and 3% miscellaneous types.  Limited competition from Indian sub-continent/local carpet mills.

Fleece

Good colour fleece firm.

Poorer style crossbred fleece buyers favour.

Shears

Good colour generally 10% cheaper.

Poorer style buyers favour.

Oddments

All descriptions 10% cheaper.
