Summary

Fleece continues to strengthen, oddments ease slightly.

Comment

South Island only selling this week offering 8,700 bales.  The selection consisted of 55% average colour crossbred fleece, bulk 75/150mm, 10% crossbred second shear bulk good colour, 75/100mm, 20% good/average colour lambs 29.0 to 31.0 micron, 10% associated oddments and 5% miscellaneous types.  Indian subcontinent, China and Europe main with support from local carpet mills.

Fleece

Good colour crossbred fleece 2% dearer.

Poorer colour crossbred fleece firm.

Second Shears

Good colour crossbred shears 2% dearer.

Poorer colour crossbred shears firm.

Lambs

Lambs fleece 1% dearer.

Oddments

In general buyers favour.

Passings

16% passed in.
