North Island only offering 6,600 bales. The selection consisted of 11% crossbred fleece, average style, 36.0 to 39.0 micron, 15% crossbred hogget fleece, bulk 75/125mm, 33.0 to 35.0 micron good style, 49% crossbred/hogget second shear, bulk 75mm good/average style, 16% associated oddments, 5% new season lambs and 4% miscellaneous types. Good widespread competition with Indian subcontinent main and support from local carpet mills and China.

Fleece

Good style crossbred/hogget fleece 2% cheaper.

Poorer style crossbred fleece buyers favour.

Second Shears

Crossbred and hogget second shear firm.

Oddments

All descriptions buyers favour.
