Summary

Market softer.

Comment

South Island only offering 8,300 bales.  The selection consisted of 19% crossbred fleece, good/average style, 36.0 to 39.0 micron, 20% crossbred hogget fleece 30.0 to 35.0 micron good style, 10% crossbred second shear, bulk 75mm good/super style, 16% halfbred fleece, 22.0 to 30.0 micron, good/super style, 5% merino fleece super style 16.0 to 21.0 micron, 25% associated oddments and 5% miscellaneous types.  Limited competition as most sectors operating in a limited capacity.  NZD 4% stronger against the USD when compared to last week.

Fleece

Crossbred fleece, all descriptions 3% cheaper.

Halfbred 23.0-30.0 micron mixed but generally 5% cheaper.

Second Shears

Crossbred and hogget second shear 2.5% cheaper.

Oddments

All descriptions buyers favour.

Passings

26% passed in.
