There was a competitive tone in the auction room today which gained momentum throughout the sale.

COMMENT

It was not expected that the extraordinary performance of yesterday could be maintained. The market settled around 2% below, but competition remained strong to the end. If anything, it improved a little towards the close.

Best fine fleece were least affected and tender fleece were most affected.

2% easier with the exception of 17.5 micron which were just slightly easier.
