COMMENT

North Island offering 9,250 bales and South Island offering 10,200 bales today.  The selection was mainly average colour fleece wool, good/average colour crossbred shears with a limited selection of new and old season lambs.  Keen competition with China and Europe main and support from the United Kingdon, Sub-continent and Australasian carpet mills.

Good colour fleece 36.0 to 38.0 micron fully firm.

Poorer style fleece 36.0 to 38.0 micron buyers favour.


SECOND SHEARS

3/4" and shorter 3% cheaper.

SHORT LAMBS

Generally 6% dearer.

All descriptions buyers favour.
