Llama (Lama Glama):
Is the biggest of the South American Camelids. There are nearly 3 million Llamas between Bolivia, Peru and Northern Argentina. Since Inca times, due to its weight and size, Llamas have always been used for transportation. However, dehaired Llama, with a mechanical process to eliminate the coarser hairs, gives a soft, shiny and long hair, very much appreciated today by the textile industry. |
