Between the two wars, Schneider acts mainly as a trader, purchasing greasy wool from Australia on behalf of European textile companies. Schneider focuses on high quality fine wools to meet the growing demand for quality textiles in the European markets. |

| 1950's |
The textile sector changes significantly during the 50s. The traditional textile plants are replaced by new more flexible facilities. This evolution leads to an increase of the number of users of wool tops; consequently traditional wool traders turn to top makers. Schneider becomes a true topmaker. The company developes technology and knowledge over several years to obtain the best combed sliver from the most precious wools. |
